General Summary This position is primarily responsible for coordinating activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials for the organization by performing the following duties.
Job Responsibilities Monitor shipments of containers from the time they are shipped till arrival time to the plant including checking receiving all parts in the plants.
Collect all Invoices for review.
Coordinate supply and run out of parts for customer spec changes and special.
Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices.
Education and Work Experience Associate's degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
