9K a year 5 days ago 5 days ago 5 days ago Alaris Health at Belgrov, a 120 bed-skilled nursing Center in Kearny, New Jersey, seeks a food service aide to perform a variety of food service functions and maintain clean and sanitary conditions of food service areas, facilities and equipment.
Additional responsibilities include:
assisting in identified aspects of food preparation handling food and equipment responsibly according to sanitation policies and procedures delivering food carts, trays, etc.
to designated areas as instructed by supervisor providing an enhanced dining service, serving meals in dining rooms and preparing and delivering snacks as directed assisting in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures and above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Full command of the English language Previous food service aide experience is helpful Possess working knowledge of the methods and techniques of handling and serving food and sanitation practices relating to food handling Ability to follow diet lists, portion food as specified and serve food in an appetizing manner Possess the ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
