We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen and Food Market Assistant to join our team.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the owner/ chef in various areas of the business, primarily in kitchen operations.
You will also support in the food distribution.
The right candidate will be a reliable and hardworking individual; they will have experience in food preparation, familiarity with kitchen operations, and will be passionate about growing the business.
Duties:
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Support kitchen staff with bussing tables, dishwashing, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations.
- Stock and restock kitchen supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service delivery.
Food Marketing Duties:
- Help prepare goods to be sold and transport to the markets - Assist in setting up and maintaining the stand at local farmers market and specialty food shops Skills &
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in food preparation within a restaurant or kitchen environment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to help with various tasks in the kitchen.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods - A passion for producing and selling high-quality food - Basic math skills for measurements and portioning.
