• Authority to hire, administer corrective action and recommend termination. Directly supervises route drivers. Active in the driver hiring process and consults with the Regional Transportation Manager in issues related to progressive discipline and termination.
  • Train, schedule and develop transportation employees and truck drivers. Cross-train and develop employee skills for work coverage and future growth opportunities.
  • Responsible for an annual budget that exceeds $3M.
  • Responsible for transportation operations as follows:
  • Responsible for weekly deliveries to Mohawk's plants in NY, NJ, PA and CT.
  • Oversee local Mohawk pickups. Must be prioritized by need, size and appointment in order to deliver on time. Develop, calculate and compile monthly analysis and reports to senior management. Outline clear expectations for change and implement cost saving initiatives.
  • Administrate and approve all payrolls pertaining to the operation.
  • Initiate and administer employee consultations daily
  • Conduct safety meetings with employees, providing all records of activity to Corporate Headquarters. Promote safe work environment through adherence to OSHA and DOT regulations as well as Mohawk Safety policies and standards.
  • Ensure positive and periodic contact with employees, customers and staff personnel at Mohawk's RDC General and Sales Service Centers.
  • Oversee all maintenance and service to delivery equipment.

Routine travel to customer locations


  • AA or greater degree preferred. High School Diploma required.
  • Knowledge of current OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Knowledge of Mohawk Safety Standards.
  • Prior supervisor experience required.
  • 5-10 years tactical experience in transportation industry.
  • Prior experience as a Dispatcher and/or Router helpful.
  • Basic knowledge of AS400 with ability to become proficient.
  • Basic computer skills in Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Required to become cross-trained as Router I.
  • Performs any function requested by management/supervision.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
